Rama: The house on “Street A” was built without a permit and is on communal property

Pristina’s Mayor, Përparim Rama, addressed the issue concerning a specific house on Street A, clarifying that the structure was erected without the necessary permits and occupies communal property. Rama stated that the families residing in the house were relocated two years ago due to ongoing construction activities on Street A and associated landslide risks. Despite the property’s unauthorized construction on communal land, Mayor Rama confirmed that the Municipality of Pristina has assumed financial responsibility for the displaced families.

He emphasized, “The municipality has paid and continues to pay the rent expenses for the evacuated families.”

However, the owner of the house disputes any planned demolition of the structure on Street A in Pristina, asserting that they will not vacate without receiving appropriate compensation. In light of the ongoing dispute, Rama issued a public advisory, urging the public to avoid entering the area, indicating that the site remains restricted.
