Burim Ramadani, a Deputy in the Kosovo Assembly representing the Alliance, has addressed the current political impasse and institutional deadlock within Kosovo. In his statements, Ramadani criticized the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV), alleging that the party has failed to adhere to established constitutional timelines. Ramadani clarified the Alliance’s stance regarding the recent election results, asserting that the party does not dispute VV’s victory in the June 7 elections.
However, he emphasized that the primary concern is the practical implementation of the mandate granted by the electorate. “We do not contest VV’s victory. We want to win in the next elections, but currently, VV has won,” Ramadani stated via Facebook.
Furthermore, the Deputy indicated that the Alliance does not contest VV’s established right to proceed with the election of the Assembly Speaker and the formation of a new government. He called for the immediate execution of these procedural rights. Ramadani also mentioned that, at a previous juncture, the Alliance had offered its support for the election of the presidency without attaching any specific requirement for a resultant position.
