The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has issued a directive informing both the public and commercial operators about a temporary restriction on goods transport services. This measure is being implemented in response to the official temperature forecast for the day, which anticipates temperatures reaching 32°C or higher. Consequently, a specific circulation restriction will be enforced for goods transport vehicles whose total mass exceeds 20 tons.
This mandatory restriction on the highway system is scheduled to be active between 11:00 AM and 5:30 PM today. The Ministry confirmed that certain essential services are exempt from this operational restriction. These exemptions include vehicles belonging to law enforcement agencies, public security units, emergency medical services, and health institutions.
The advisory emphasizes that all operators and drivers must adhere to the stipulated restriction times and plan their routes accordingly to ensure smooth circulation. While the restriction is in effect on main highways, the Ministry clarified that normal circulation remains permitted without limitation on national, regional, and connecting roads. The public is advised to review the schedule to minimize disruption while respecting the safety protocols put in place for heavy vehicles during high-heat conditions.
