Rrustemi: We were making tributes, Thaçi and Daçiq laid the groundwork for the Community – but we resist today as if 13 years ago.

Vetëvendosje MP Rrustemi Reaffirms Resistance Marking 13 Years Since 2013 Agreement

Prishtina – Vetëvendosje Member of Parliament Adnan Rrustemi commemorated 13 years since the April 19, 2013, agreement with Serbia, a date he describes as “damaging” and significant in the formation of the Community. Speaking on April 19, 2026, Rrustemi stated that figures including Thaçi and Daçiqi “laid the groundwork” for the Community, a development he views critically. Rrustemi’s remarks centered on the agreement’s consequences, specifically citing the amnesties granted to Serbian individuals and the establishment of parallel structures.

He emphasized a continued resistance, mirroring the stance taken thirteen years prior. “Here we pay tribute for the horrific massacre of Serbian forces in Hallaq të Vogël of Lipjan, just as we did the day this damaging Thaçi-Daçiqi agreement was signed,” Rrustemi asserted. He reiterated that “we are resisting today as we did 13 years ago.”

The statement comes amid ongoing debate regarding the legacy of the 2013 agreement and its impact on northern Kosovo.

The Vetëvendosje party continues to advocate for a revised approach to relations with Serbia. [Video Link Included Here]
