Man in Tirana Claims Shooting, Police Investigate Accidental Discharge
Tirana, Albania – A 36-year-old man, identified as A. H., is currently under investigation following an incident in Laprake yesterday where he claimed to have been shot. Police have stated that the incident stemmed from the accidental discharge of a firearm he possessed illegally.
According to a statement released by the Tirana Police, Mr. H. was inside a vehicle when the firearm discharged.
Initial reports indicated he was shot, however, subsequent investigation revealed a different account. Specialists from the Serious Crime Investigation Section arrested Mr. H.
following the incident. During treatment at a local hospital, he provided a false statement, alleging he was shot by an unidentified individual. Police have referred procedural materials to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further review and potential action.
