U.S. Ambassador Haxhiu Urges Submission of War Crime Evidence
Podgorica, Kosovo – U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Vlora Haxhiu, today called on citizens to submit evidence of war crimes to the Institute for Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo.
The call was made during the opening of “Chronology of Freedom,” an exhibition of photojournalist Ridvan Slivova’s work. Deputy Director of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, also attended the event. Ambassador Haxhiu expressed gratitude to Ridvan Slivova and other journalists who have dedicated themselves to documenting and exposing crimes against humanity, war crimes, and genocide perpetrated by Serbia during the conflict in Kosovo.
“We understand that the circumstances in which you worked were extremely difficult and challenging,” Ambassador Haxhiu stated. “Many times your own lives were at risk. Therefore, please allow me to thank you.”
The exhibition, featuring the work of Ridvan Slivova, aims to preserve a visual record of the period.
The initiative underscores the ongoing efforts to hold perpetrators accountable for documented atrocities and supports the Institute’s work in collecting and analyzing evidence.
