Multiple reports confirm that Kyiv and surrounding areas sustained significant damage following a wave of attacks involving Russian missiles and drones during the night. According to initial assessments, the assaults resulted in numerous casualties and widespread infrastructure damage across the region. The scale of the impact was evident in the damage reported to vital facilities, including buildings, food depots, and logistics centers, which were affected by large fires.

Regarding casualties, differing figures have been reported. While one source indicated at least 15 fatalities and 42 people injured across the broader Kyiv region, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported 14 killed and 27 injured in the wider Kyiv area. Within the city of Kyiv itself, one death has been confirmed, and at least 15 other individuals were reported injured.

Emergency response teams were deployed across several districts of Kyiv to combat the ensuing fires and conduct searches for any persons potentially trapped by the attacks.
