Sali: The Jurisprudence Exam was approved in 2019 and will also be given in the Albanian language.

Representatives from the VLEN Coalition have announced plans to resolve the outstanding issue concerning the jurisprudence exam, which they state has remained unresolved under previous administrations. Deputy/Prime Minister Bekim Sali asserted that the VLEN government intends to achieve what has not been accomplished over the last quarter-century, specifically confirming that the jurisprudence exam will finally be available in the Albanian language. Sali emphasized that this development ensures the concerns of students will be addressed.

Addressing the history of the examination, Sali noted that the current law governing the jurisprudence exam was approved in 2019. He commented that those who currently attempt to misinform the public regarding the matter had the opportunity to anticipate the provision of the exam in Albanian when the law was passed. According to Sali, these same groups failed to secure this right even after the enactment of the Law on the Use of Languages.

The coalition’s commitment, according to their representatives, is to finalize this process. Bekim Sali’s statements suggest a focused effort to implement the linguistic rights associated with the jurisprudence exam, thereby concluding a matter that has reportedly persisted without resolution for an extended period. The focus remains on making the examination process fully accessible in Albanian.
