Samsung Galaxy S27 can use BOE displays

BOE Eyes Samsung Galaxy S27 Supply as CSOT Gains Traction

Chinese screen manufacturer BOE is reportedly seeking to establish a supply relationship with Samsung for the upcoming Galaxy S27 series. According to a recent report originating from Korea, the company, a subsidiary of TCL known as CSOT, has already secured a contract to provide screens for Samsung’s Galaxy A57 model. Currently, Samsung Display remains the primary supplier of screens for the Galaxy A57, with CSOT holding the second-largest volume share.

This development has prompted Samsung to evaluate BOE as a potential secondary supplier for the higher-end Galaxy S27. The move would likely offer Samsung Electronics cost savings, resources that could be directed towards other components, such as memory. While a final decision has not been made, the possibility of incorporating BOE screens into the Galaxy S27 production is under consideration.

This expansion of supplier options reflects Samsung’s ongoing efforts to optimize its supply chain and manage costs across its diverse product portfolio, including the popular Galaxy line. The relationship between samsung and boe remains in a preliminary stage.
