Education Minister Janevska Addresses Faculty Scandal, Awaits Investigation Report
Tensions remain high following reports of a significant academic scandal involving the Faculty of Philosophy. Education Minister Vesna Janevska addressed public questions regarding accountability yesterday, stating she currently lacks the authority to determine responsibility. Responding to inquiries about potential repercussions for staff within the faculty, Janevska indicated that other institutions within the state are better positioned to investigate the matter.
“I am not competent,” she stated, “there are other institutions in the state that should speak.”
The minister expressed hope that the situation represents an isolated incident and that no deliberate wrongdoing occurred. She reiterated her reliance on the forthcoming investigation report, noting that the annulment of the registration process would also trigger the revocation of diplomatic privileges. “The situation is quite complicated,” Janevska continued, “and I am not competent to give answers about it.
I hope that the procedure will develop as it should.”
The scandal, which emerged yesterday, is currently under review, and officials are awaiting the findings of a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the registration process at the faculty.
