Seanca për rritjen e çmimeve, KDI: Pati mungesë të përgjegjësisë institucionale dhe seriozitetit, Kuvendi po e humb peshën

KDI Criticizes Parliament Session on Fuel Price Increases

Kosovo’s Economic and Development Institute (KDI) has criticized today’s parliamentary session regarding rising fuel derivative prices, describing it as lacking institutional responsibility and seriousness. The session, held on April 3, 2026, was deemed insufficient for a debate of such significance by KDI. The institute stated that the discussion failed to demonstrate the seriousness warranted for addressing this critical issue.

Furthermore, KDI argued that the Parliament is diminishing its influence due to low attendance. Specifically, a significant number of deputies did not participate in the session. The lack of representation raises concerns about the effectiveness of the legislative body in addressing pressing economic matters.

The session was convened as an extraordinary meeting to address the direct impact of rising fuel costs and their effect on the cost of living for Kosovar citizens.
