Shala: The NSI removed the civil mask, Jovana Radosavljevic openly transitioned to the Serbian List

Security Analyst Questions Inclusion of Radosavljevic on Serbian List

Security analyst Drizan Shala has published a detailed assessment concerning the selection of Jovana Radosavljevic for the electoral list of the Serbian List ahead of the June 7th elections in Kosovo. Shala argues this decision signals the termination of a longstanding “civil cover” within northern Kosovo, a framework that has operated for several years. His analysis centers on the role of “Nova društvena inicijativa” (NSI), a civic organization established in Mitrovica, and its presentation to the international community.

Shala contends that the NSI was initially portrayed as an independent voice representing Kosovo Serbs. However, he asserts the organization consistently aligned with the political objectives of Belgrade. According to Shala’s report, Radosavljevic’s credibility was cultivated through partnerships with Western organizations, including USAID and the Bank.

This strategy aimed to establish her as a recognized figure within international discussions regarding the region. The inclusion of Radosavljevic on the Serbian List list remains a point of contention, with Shala’s assessment raising questions about the evolving political landscape and the influence of external actors within northern Kosovo.
