A statement issued by the Regional Directorate of Police in Gjakova detailed the first incident, where police observed two motorcycles engaged in a speed race on “Martirët Qerkezi” street. In a second separate case, officers encountered two vehicles participating in similar racing activities on “Gaspër Karaqi” street.
In both reported incidents, the prompt action taken by patrolling units and the Regional Road Traffic Unit successfully brought the activities to a stop. Following the cessation of the racing, fines were issued to the individuals involved, in adherence to current traffic legislation. The police issued a reminder emphasizing that engaging in speed racing and exhibiting irresponsible behavior while operating vehicles on public roads are violations of safety regulations.
