Strikes at Greek customs temporarily suspend vehicle movement at the four border crossings with Albania

The Department of Border Police and Migration has issued a notice regarding a temporary suspension of vehicle movement at several border points connecting Albania and Greek territory this Sunday. The disruption is attributed to a strike announced by Greek customs employees. Information concerning the closures was disseminated by the Police Cooperation Center in Kakavijë.

The notice specified that the strike will affect different border crossings at varying times. Specifically, at the Kakavijë and Tre Urat border crossing points located in Përmet, vehicle circulation is scheduled to be suspended between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM, according to Albanian time. For the Kapshticë border point in Korçë and the Qafë Botë border point in Sarandë, the suspension period is set from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

Authorities have advised travelers that during these stated intervals, normal vehicle movement through the affected border crossings will cease due to the industrial action involving Greek customs personnel. Travelers are urged to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays at the border.
