KRU “Hidrodrini” has reported that inspections regarding the misuse of drinking water continued in the Istog region, resulting in the identification of ten new instances of violations. According to the company’s statement, the inspections were conducted by the Regional Inspectors of KRU “Hidrodrini” and the relevant operational unit. This enforcement action takes place amidst a period when the area is experiencing a shortage of drinking water due to declining resource levels caused by drought conditions.
During the inspection process, ten separate cases were documented on the spot, and the individuals responsible for these violations have been referred to the State Prosecutor’s Office. KRU “Hidrodrini” reiterated that these monitoring and enforcement actions will continue around the clock, seven days a week, across all municipalities within the company’s service coverage area. Furthermore, the company issued a public appeal to citizens, urging them to practice water conservation measures and ensure the timely payment of utility bills.
The continued focus on monitoring misuse underscores the severity of the current drinking water scarcity in the region.
