The Alliance refuses the meeting with the Parliament; this is the invitation that was sent to Ardian Gjinit

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has declined an invitation extended by Albin Kurti, the acting Prime Minister and leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement. According to reports from Gazeta Express, the party has reportedly refused Kurti’s request for a meeting, a pattern of refusal noted by the publication. Kurti issued a formal invitation addressed to Ardian Gjini, Chairman of the Alliance.

The correspondence requested a discussion regarding the path forward, suggesting a meeting format for Gjini and a representative from his party. The letter specified potential dates for this meeting, proposing either the following Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon. The context for the proposed meeting was set by the upcoming session for the constitution of the 11th legislative Parliament, scheduled for Thursday, August 6.

In the communication, Kurti indicated the desire to discuss strategy in a private, one-on-one setting at the Prime Minister’s office. The refusal by the Alliance to attend the proposed meeting marks a continued divergence in political engagement between the two leaders. Despite the official invitation from Kurti, the Alliance has maintained its position of non-participation in the scheduled discussions.
