The acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, paid respects at the memorial site dedicated to the fallen Kosovo Hero, Enver Zymeri, located in Varagë of Zubin Potok. The ceremony marked the 15th anniversary of Zymeri’s death. The acting Prime Minister was accompanied by the acting Minister of Interior, Xhelal Sveçla.
During the tribute, Kurti emphasized that the sacrifices made by Enver Zymeri and other fallen police officers should serve as a model for all state officials. He stated, “It is your obligation to take these as an example for all of us who are state officials, in terms of sacrifice and self-sacrifice.”
Kurti highlighted the positive transformation in northern Kosovo, attributing the current stability to the actions of those who served. He remarked, “Today the situation here in northern Kosovo is completely different, precisely thanks to Enver Zymeri, Afrim Bunjaku, and all their colleagues, who established the rule of law, peace, and security for everyone without distinction.”
