The Kosovo Dairy Industry Association (KIDA) has publicly commented following an inspection carried out at VITA Dairy by the Food and Veterinary Agency (AVA). In its statement, the association requested clarification from the relevant institutions concerning the methodology employed during the control process. While affirming its complete support for the enforcement of law and official controls designed to ensure food safety within the dairy sector, KIDA stressed that all such inspections must be executed with professionalism, transparency, and strict adherence to established legal procedures.
Specifically, the association emphasized its demand for full transparency and procedural compliance regarding the VITA Dairy inspection. KIDA called upon the Minister of Agriculture, Armend Muja, and the Executive Director of the AVA, Bekim Hoxha, to issue a public clarification. The association specifically requested that these officials publicly disclose the identities of all individuals who participated in the inspection and who served as the official inspectors.
This call underscores the industry’s commitment to regulatory oversight while also demanding due process in how these controls are implemented.
