For the past two months, the leading energy businesses – KEDS, KESCO, and KOSTT – have asked the Regulatory Office for Energy (ZRRE) to raise electricity tariffs. They proposed increases surpassing 20 percent.

However, with just two days left before April 1st, when the ZRRE will formally examine and decide on these electricity tariffs, Chairman Ymer Fejzullahu of the ZRRE Board has informed Ekonomia Online that the existing rates will continue as they are. He clarified that no determination would be made regarding the electricity tariffs until the ZRRE’s final report is released and the public consultation is finished. The Chairman emphasized that the current situation will persist.

This means the electricity tariffs will not change. The ZRRE is awaiting a comprehensive assessment before announcing any adjustments to the electricity tariffs. The focus remains on a thorough review process.
