The expansion of the exhibition from the square includes the survivor of the Dubrovnik massacre and the director of Public Services.

Five days following the removal of panels from the capital’s churches, showcasing the “Massacres in Kosovo 1998-1999” exhibition, city teams initiated the removal process this morning. This action stemmed from identified inaccuracies present on both sides of the squares. Concerns arose regarding the presentation of information pertaining to the massacre at Dubrava Prison.

A survivor, Visar Ballovci, recounted his harrowing experience during the two weeks that criminal Serbian forces were active. He described feeling intense terror throughout that period. “I lived with friends and compassionate people, and tragically, everything I possessed was lost during that time,” Ballovci stated.

The survivor emphasized that the recently removed exhibition did not accurately reflect the reality of the Dubrava massacre, which he and others witnessed firsthand. He asserted that their possessions were seized by paramilitaries. The discrepancies highlighted a critical need for precise and truthful documentation regarding this devastating event.

The removal of the exhibition underscores the importance of accurate historical representation in confronting this painful chapter.
