“The flamingos made me think deeply,” Rama will not abandon the Mountains Package: It will be a success story

Prime Minister Edi Rama addressed the ongoing protests, which marked their 52nd day, via a social media discussion. Rama reiterated his position regarding the demonstrations, asserting that the history of the flamingos mirrors the trajectory of modern Albania, an experience he stated has prompted deeper reflection. He emphasized that the proposed “Mountains Package” represents a pathway to future success, an element he suggested the populace has been lacking.

According to Rama, the “Mountains Package” provides the means for citizens to utilize and develop their property into a source of communal well-being. He stated, “What I know to say is that the ‘Mountains Package’ is what the people who have the right to celebrate their property and turn it into a source of well-being have lacked.”

Rama continued by addressing the nature of the public discourse surrounding the issue. He suggested that the noise, insults, accusations, profanities, and curses are merely distractions, clouding the judgment of those involved or immersed in the conflict.

He concluded by refocusing attention on the merits of the “Mountains Package,” positioning it as the substantive element for Albania’s development.
