The government has approved the thirteenth salary for the public sector.

The Kosovan government has authorized the distribution of the thirteenth salary payment to all public sector employees. Finance Minister Hekuran Murati confirmed this action includes those who haven’t served a complete year of employment. He detailed that these individuals will receive a partial salary, calculated proportionally to the months they have been with the organization.

Murati explained the specific arrangement for employees who haven’t reached twelve full months of work. “For individuals who have not reached 12 full months of work, a partial salary will be allocated based on the months they have worked,” he stated. This approach ensures fair compensation for all staff members.

Furthermore, the government has addressed the situation of women currently on maternity leave or who have recently completed their leave periods. They will be recognized as having worked full-time during these designated periods. “Simultaneously, we have taken care to ensure that pregnant women on maternity leave or who have been on maternity leave have been recognized as having worked full-time,” Murati added.

This policy acknowledges the contributions made during extended periods of absence.
