The Government of the Republic of Macedonia approves the first priority list with 41 capital proposal projects for 2027

The Ministry of Finance has announced the approval of the initial priority list containing 41 capital proposal projects designated for 2027. This compilation includes initiatives that were originally conceived and vetted by the respective initiating institutions. These projects subsequently underwent a thorough evaluation process by the Ministry of Finance before receiving final approval from the Public Investments Committee.

Following the enactment of the Public Investment Management Regulation, the Ministry of Finance initiated a comprehensive effort to gather ideas for medium and large-scale proposal initiatives, specifically those valued in excess of five million euros. To manage this influx of potential investments, the Ministry established rigorous review criteria. The assessment process for these major projects involves a detailed examination across several critical areas.

Reviewers scrutinize the completeness of all submitted documentation, assess the quality and reliability of the underlying data, and evaluate the strategic importance of each undertaking to the national economy. Furthermore, a core component of the review is determining the fundamental readiness of the project concept for actual development. This structured approach ensures that the list presented for future investment aligns with established financial governance standards.

The Ministry’s efforts are aimed at streamlining the investment pipeline by prioritizing well-vetted and strategically significant proposals, thereby guiding the allocation of capital resources for the specified period.
