Bank of Central Kosovo Governor Receives Significant State Compensation

Ahmet Ismaili, the Governor of the Bank of Central Kosovo, is potentially the highest-paid civil servant in the country. According to a report from the Ministry of Finance, Ismaili’s net annual salary amounts to 58,706 euros, equating to 4,892 euros per month. This figure represents his base compensation as part of his role at the central bank.

However, the reported salary does not encompass all state revenues received during the year. A full asset declaration reveals additional compensation totaling 76,759 euros. This included 8,208 euros classified as “knowledge as compensation for the board” and 9,845 euros designated as a travel allowance, covering an official trip abroad.

The total compensation received by Mr. Ismaili from the state during the specified period was 76,759 euros. The Ministry of Finance’s report details these figures as part of ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and accountability within Kosovo’s public sector.
