She contrasted this with Albania, stating that the people are very loving, which contributes to her positive feeling about the country. Another Indian immigrant described the economic motivations behind his move to Albania. He mentioned paying 3,000 units to relocate, viewing the agricultural work as a significant opportunity.
According to his account, the wages earned here allow him to send money home to his family monthly, which he contrasted with the wages available in his country of origin. He stated, “We paid 3000 euros to come. The salary is not enough.”
The shift in labor demographics highlights the reliance on foreign workers for critical agricultural tasks in Albania.
