The State of Kosovo has arrested an individual, identified as B.G., on suspicion of murdering his cohabiting partner and subsequently setting the couple’s residence ablaze in the Kodra neighborhood of Ulqani. According to reports, authorities were alerted to a significant fire in a residential building late last night, around 12:30 AM. Upon arrival, police discovered the incident, leading to the swift apprehension of B.G.
Authorities allege that he is responsible for the brutal murder of his unmarried partner, followed by the act of setting the home on fire. Following the incident, B.G. sustained injuries from the blaze and required immediate medical attention.
He was transported first to the general hospital in Tivar and later transferred to the Black Mountain Clinical Center in Podgorica for further care. The swift action by the Kosovo police department allowed them to identify and secure the person suspected of the crime. The investigation is currently focused on the sequence of events leading up to the fire and the subsequent death of the woman with whom he was living.
The state has confirmed that the investigation into the suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire and the alleged murder is ongoing.
