The Kosovo Tennis Federation has announced the roster for the national team slated to compete in the 2026 Davis Cup. This premier global tennis competition is scheduled to take place in Chisinau, Moldova, from June 10 to June 14. The selected squad includes several notable players, among them Jasin Jakupi.
Jakupi, who was born and raised in Basel, Switzerland, but has roots in Preshëva, has committed to representing Kosovo on the international circuit despite having alternative opportunities. The full team representing Kosovo in the Davis Cup will also feature Doni Gashi, Salidin Rama, and Granit Bajraliu. Naim Shehu has been appointed as the team captain.
This participation marks the second time in the last four years that Kosovo will be competing in the Davis Cup Group III. This level of competition follows a successful showing during the previous year’s edition. The federation’s selection underscores Kosovo’s continued engagement with the sport at a high international level.
The anticipation is focused on the players, including Jakupi, to represent the nation effectively in the upcoming tournament.
