The Municipality of Pristina has commenced efforts to clear a designated parking area situated near the Ministry of Agriculture building. Municipal authorities have stated that the space has been occupied without proper authorization and is earmarked for the future development of a Music School. In a formal statement provided to Telegrafi, Brahim Mehmetaj, the Director of Property for the Municipality of Pristina, confirmed that the operation is being conducted in coordination with the Directorate of Inspection and the Kosovo Police.
He noted that, as of the reporting time, no formal objections have been registered by the current occupants of the site. Mehmetaj detailed the municipal action, stating, “Today, the Municipality of Pristina, specifically the Property Directorate along with the Inspection Directorate, is implementing the decision to clear the municipal property, specifically this public space, which has been occupied by certain individuals in an illegal and unlawful manner.”
The initiative underscores the Municipality’s commitment to developing public infrastructure within Pristina. The designated area, which currently functions as a parking lot, is central to the city’s urban planning goals.
The planned construction of the Music School represents a significant civic investment, necessitating the reclamation of the currently utilized municipal land. The coordinated effort involving multiple directorates aims to execute the necessary clearance procedures efficiently and in adherence to local administrative decisions.
