The name of the President is awaited, parties have not yet started internal consultations for it.

Regarding the selection of the next president, no definitive decision has been announced, although progress has been made following multiple meetings. An agreement was reached after four sessions involving key political figures. Specifically, the meeting between Albin Kurti, leader of Vetëvendosje, and Lamir Abdixhi, leader of the LDK, concluded with a mutual commitment.

The leaders stated their intention to return to their respective party structures to conduct internal consultations concerning potential names for the presidency. However, sources indicate that comprehensive internal discussions have not yet begun. According to Anton Quni, a deputy within the Democratic League of Kosovo, the party has not yet received an official invitation for a meeting focused on the matter.

Quni noted that while he attended meetings regarding other issues, the topic of the president’s name has not been formally addressed. He expressed confidence that the party chairman is considering the matter and anticipates that the necessary consultations will take place in the near future. This development suggests that while high-level political consensus has been reached regarding the need for internal party vetting, the procedural steps required to finalize a candidate name for the presidency remain ongoing.

The political parties are expected to initiate detailed internal consultations to determine the appropriate successor.
