The new deadline for complaints to the Supreme Court regarding the results: PDK candidates do not withdraw

Two candidates representing the PDK party have filed multiple complaints regarding recent election results, encountering scrutiny from both the PZAP and the Supreme Court. Despite repeated rejections of their challenges, both Bekim Haxhiu and Qëndrim Kryeziu maintain their demand for a comprehensive recount of the PDK candidates’ votes. On Friday, Qëndrim Kryeziu announced his intention to submit supplementary documentation alongside his complaint to the Supreme Court.

Kryeziu stated that the attached document reportedly contains records of over 500 votes cast for the PDK, arguing that this evidence suggests a necessity for a full recount. Bekim Haxhiu also confirmed his plans to submit the same documentation to the Supreme Court on the same day. Haxhiu indicated that the newly presented material contains data he believes substantiates their claims.

The ongoing legal challenges highlight the continued dispute over the election tally. While the candidates are pursuing avenues through the Supreme Court, their insistence on the recount remains a central point of contention in the political discourse surrounding the election outcome. The submission of this new evidence to the highest judicial body will determine the next procedural steps in the dispute.
