Increased Voter Registration Ahead of June 7th Kosovo Assembly Elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has released the Preliminary List of Voters for the upcoming snap elections to the Kosovo Assembly, scheduled for June 7, 2026. The list includes a total of 2,092,202 voters, representing an increase of 15,912 compared to the December 28, 2025, elections. This rise in the number of voters reflects increased engagement in the electoral process.

Notably, 22,131 citizens are registered to vote for the first time. A significant portion of this new cohort – 16,933 – are young adults aged 18 who have attained voting eligibility since the previous elections. The demographic breakdown of first-time voters reveals 8,755 men (51.70%) and 8,178 women (48.30%).

Furthermore, 5,198 voters are registered. The CEC’s release of this preliminary voter list is a key step in preparing for the June 7th elections. The commission continues to work to ensure a smooth and accessible process for all eligible voters.

The total number of voters registered will be crucial for assessing participation in the upcoming elections.
