The Prishtina municipality is planning an action today at 10:00 AM. During this event, the exhibition panel honoring the Lajme massacres will be taken down. Gazeta Express reported this on March 28, 2026, at 8:13 AM.

Through a formal statement, the Prishtina municipality has announced they will conduct this action today. The purpose is to remove the panel situated in central Prishtina’s square, which details the massacres in Kosovo. This decision stems from widespread inaccuracies and errors discovered within the exhibit.

“We are informing you that today, March 28, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM, teams from the Capital City will execute the removal of the ‘Massacres in Kosovo 1998-1999’ exhibition panel in Mother Teresa Square,” the statement continued. This action follows the Capital City Mayor, Mr. Përmban Rama’s, decision to temporarily suspend the exhibition’s permit due to the observed discrepancies.

The Prishtina municipality’s action reflects a commitment to accurate historical representation.
