The process of recognizing professional experience for educators in Mitrovica continues

The Municipality of Mitrovica has issued a statement confirming that the Municipal Directorate of Education (DKA) is continuing its efforts to streamline the process of evaluating and improving educators’ credentials. This initiative focuses specifically on the formal recognition of educators’ accumulated professional experience. The ongoing effort is being managed by the DKA director, Shefki Begu.

To date, the directorate has received an accumulation of over 140 applications from teaching staff. According to the municipality’s announcement, the review process has already concluded the assessment of approximately 50 percent of the submitted applications, while the remaining submissions are currently undergoing detailed review. Director Begu stated that this commitment to formal assessment has already resulted in several educators having their professional experience officially recognized, sometimes up to a period of ten years.

This successful outcome addresses a previously noted administrative concern within the educational sector. The Municipality reaffirmed the DKA’s dedication to maintaining a responsible and thorough approach to every application. The directorate has assured the public that it remains committed to reviewing all outstanding files efficiently and completing the entire process within the shortest feasible timeframes.

This ongoing work aims to ensure that the qualifications of the teaching staff are accurately documented and acknowledged.
