The controversy arose after the release of an audio segment aired on the “Debat Plus” show. This recording purportedly captures a discussion involving Pacolli, Pristina Municipality official Gentri Syla, and an LDK delegate.
The core of the controversy centers on claims that Pacolli discussed securing employment for the delegate’s spouse through a competitive process. However, during the broadcast, Pacolli addressed the matter via phone and stated that he does not possess the authority to make hiring decisions. He subsequently dismissed the claims presented in the audio recording.
Speaking on the show, Pacolli stated, “I do not know what happened in this audio recording. I do not have the authority to hire anyone. I do not make promises like Lumir Abdixhiku, who used to make promises that…”
Pacolli’s denial directly contradicts the implications suggested by the audio evidence regarding his involvement in employment promises for the delegate’s relative.
