The third edition of the “KAH DRITA” festival will be held in June.

The Kosovar Cultural Heritage Without Borders Foundation (CHwB Kosovo), in partnership with local collaborators, has announced the upcoming third edition of the “KAH DRITA” festival. This year’s festival is specifically themed around transhumance, the long-standing tradition of seasonal migration undertaken by shepherds and their flocks in highland regions. The event is scheduled to take place across Junik on April 4 and 7, 2026, promising a diverse program that integrates cultural heritage, education, nature, and artistic expression.

The activities planned for April 4 will be hosted in Valavicë and include educational workshops focusing on artificial intelligence, alongside dedicated activities for children. Furthermore, the festival itinerary includes a screening of the documentary “Stina e Stanit,” followed by a discussion session with the film’s creators. The official opening of the festival is set for the evening, with the full schedule of events to be detailed as the dates approach.

Organizers anticipate the festival will serve as a significant cultural gathering, celebrating the region’s deep connection to its natural history and traditional practices through this third iteration.
