The Central Trade Supervision Inspectorate (IQMT), in collaboration with the Kosovo Tax Administration (ATK), conducted further inspections today targeting businesses involved in the cryptocurrency and currency sectors across the country. This action was part of an ongoing operational plan to oversee trade practices within these industries. According to the Ministry of Enterprise, Trade, and Innovation, a total of 14 inspections were carried out during today’s enforcement activities.
The results of these checks revealed several instances of non-compliance among the inspected entities. Specifically, the inspectorate reported that two businesses were forced to cease operations because they lacked the requisite documentation necessary to legally conduct their activities. Furthermore, an additional two businesses were issued fines for failing to adhere to established working hour regulations.
The continued focus of the trade inspectorate underscores efforts to regulate and monitor the operational standards of businesses dealing with digital and physical currencies. These joint efforts between the IQMT and the ATK aim to ensure that all relevant commercial activities within Kosovo meet established legal and regulatory requirements.
