U.S. Issues Return-to-Port Orders as Blockade Continues
The U.S. military has directed 27 ships to return to Iranian ports since the implementation of a naval blockade initiated on Monday.
Visual evidence released by U.S. Central Command depicts a military personnel member guiding a cannon towards a vessel, alongside audio of a message broadcast to the ships. According to reports, the recorded message stated: “You are entering a military zone of restriction; this port blockade will be applied to all ships regardless of flag.
If you attempt to violate the blockade, we will compel you to act in accordance with force.”
The U.S. Navy says it has halted or redirected vessels traveling to or from the coast of Iran. This action follows a period of restricted maritime access.
President Trump has indicated that a previous ceasefire expired on Wednesday, stating it is “extremely unlikely” he will extend it. The military’s continued enforcement of the blockade underscores the ongoing tensions in the region. The U.S.
continues to assert its authority regarding ships operating within the designated area.
