The US announces a new wave of attacks against Iran

The U.S. military initiated the third night of airstrikes against Iran within the last half-hour, commencing at 10:45 PM. According to a statement from the U.S.

Central Command, the strikes were conducted under the “directives” of Donald Trump. The command stated that these actions are intended to impose significant costs on Iranian forces and diminish their capacity to target civilian populations or commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. In response to the military action, the United Arab Emirates has reportedly developed plans to circumvent the Strait of Hormuz.

Concurrently, the Iranian news agency YJC reported hearing explosions in both the southern port city of Bandar Abbas and on Kish Island, located near the southern coast of the country. Previously, Iranian state television had refuted reports of any ongoing strikes. The ongoing airstrikes against Iran underscore escalating regional tensions.

The stated objective of the U.S. military operations is to degrade Iranian capabilities within the region. These developments continue to draw international attention to the security situation in the Persian Gulf area.
