The “Youth in Technology” program concluded successfully in Shtime

The “Youth in Technology” educational program, spearheaded by the Kosova Makers League and supported by KEP Trust, recently concluded its activities for middle school students in the Shtime municipality. The initiative was designed to provide local youth with practical, hands-on experience across several critical areas of modern technology, including programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The comprehensive program was structured around three dedicated physical training sessions, supplemented by visits to local schools to maximize engagement.

The curriculum was progressive, building skills sequentially across the cohort of students. The initial training session, which engaged 23 participants, established a foundational understanding of Python programming basics alongside an introduction to robotics principles. The curriculum advanced in the second session, where approximately 22 participants delved into the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence.

This practical module included the hands-on implementation of an AI camera system mounted on the micro:Maqueen Plus robot. The final session, involving 21 students, maintained a highly practical focus, allowing participants to apply the cumulative knowledge gained from the preceding weeks. Overall, the program successfully bridged academic learning with applied technological skills.

By immersing the students in practical challenges related to AI and robotics, the organizers aimed to cultivate the next generation of technically skilled individuals within the community. The structure allowed participants to move from foundational coding concepts to complex, integrated technological applications.
