Following a reported incident in Shëngjin, within the Ranë e Hedhun area, Albanian journalist Ledina Jakimi provided details regarding the events. Speaking on the “Ora 7” program, Jakimi reported on the immediate response to the tragedy, which involved two young individuals from Kosovo who were unable to survive after entering the sea. Jakimi stated that upon receiving notification of the incident, local residents from Lezhë, alongside nearby vacationers, swiftly entered the water to initiate a rescue effort.

She reported that individuals utilized watercraft, including jet skis, to search for and attempt to retrieve the missing persons. According to Jakimi, the efforts were successful in bringing the individuals to the surface after extensive searching. However, she confirmed that both victims were brought ashore without any signs of life.

The incident involved the drowning of two young people from Kosovo, with reports also indicating that three other individuals were found to be in serious condition. Furthermore, during an appearance on Klan Kosova, Jakimi addressed the conditions in the region. She noted that despite the unstable weather and the presence of large waves in the sea, she was unable to provide further details regarding the severity of the environmental challenges encountered during the rescue operations in that area.
