There will be no restriction for trucks over 20 tons on Sunday

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) has announced that there will be no circulation restrictions for goods transport vehicles with a total mass exceeding 20 tons tomorrow, August 9, 2026. This decision follows an assessment of the official temperature forecasts, which indicate that the specific conditions outlined in the MIT’s decision for implementing temporary circulation restrictions will not be met tomorrow. The ministry’s notice clarified that the imposition of such restrictions is contingent upon the fulfillment of prerequisite conditions related to high temperatures.

Consequently, the necessary criteria for activating the transport restrictions are not expected to be in place. The MIT confirmed that it will maintain daily monitoring of meteorological forecasts. Should the weather conditions change, the Ministry stated it will provide timely notifications to both the general public and economic operators.

This proactive monitoring ensures that stakeholders are kept informed regarding any potential changes to the operational guidelines for goods transport.
