The Ferizaj Regional Police have announced enforcement actions taken against several drivers in connection with an ongoing operational plan designed to enhance road safety within the region. The initiative targeted various traffic infractions across local roadways. During one specific enforcement action, the Regional Road Communication Unit in Ferizaj intercepted an Audi vehicle bearing foreign license plates on the main road located in the village of Rakaj.
The driver, identified by the initials N.B. and aged 28, was operating the vehicle at a speed of 161 km/h, significantly exceeding the posted limit of 50 km/h for that area. As a result of this infraction, the driver was issued a fine of 500 euros, assessed 5 negative points, and received a driving suspension period of six months.
Separately, the Ferizaj Police Unit addressed another violation involving a 23-year-old driver, identified by the initials D.Ç. This individual was issued a twelve-month license suspension following the accumulation of multiple traffic violations recorded between August 26, 2025, and June 9, 2026. These enforcement measures represent part of the broader commitment by the authorities to ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
The police confirmed that action was taken against a total of three drivers during the operation, underscoring the continuous effort to improve adherence to road safety standards across the district.
