State Police authorities in Tirana have reported the successful disruption of illegal gambling operations across several sites within the city. According to an official statement, investigations conducted by the Local Directorate of Police Tirana identified and addressed three separate instances of organized, illicit gambling activities. During the operation, law enforcement personnel seized various materials associated with the illegal trade, including three vehicles, a poker table, playing cards, chips, and five mobile phones.
The resulting actions involved multiple legal interventions. Authorities confirmed the arrest of two citizens at the scene. Furthermore, two other individuals were issued warrants following suspicion of involvement in organizing gambling games in a specific street area.
Specifically, specialists from Police Precinct No. 1 arrested one individual, identified as G. Zh., aged 22, in the act.
Warrants were subsequently issued for two other citizens, M. Zh. (50) and A.
Zh. (25), concerning their alleged role in coordinating these illegal gaming operations. In addition to these arrests and warrants, four other citizens were processed by police in free status.
The operation underscores ongoing efforts by local police structures to combat illegal enterprises within the region of Tirana.
