Today at 6:00 PM, the new meeting, where the Parliament and the Palace left off the discussion after the meeting in October?

A significant meeting is scheduled for today at 6:00 PM involving Albin Kurti, the Prime Minister and leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, and Lumir Abdixhiku, the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo. This gathering aims to resume discussions concerning the formation of new political institutions, picking up where previous talks left off. The discussions between the two leaders had previously paused after a meeting held in mid-January.

At that time, the dialogue was interrupted following an incident where approximately 150 party delegates submitted signatures calling for Abdixhiku’s removal from the party leadership. Prior to this, Kurti had previously characterized his work with the LDK as a “large and broad endeavor.” In contrast, Abdixhiku had previously described their last meeting on January 10th as representing a “complete step.”

The new meeting scheduled for this evening at the Parliament will allow the leaders to continue their discussions. The talks are expected to resume following the events of January 30th, focusing on advancing the plans for establishing new institutional frameworks.
