A constitutional session of the Kosovo Assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, at 10:00 AM. Leading up to this session, the acting Prime Minister has intensified efforts to reach a comprehensive agreement regarding the issue of the presidency. As part of the ongoing process to form necessary state institutions, the Assembly previously convened a meeting inviting leaders from three major parliamentary factions: the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), and the Alliance.
The response to the invitation varied among the parties. The PDK and the AAK formally declined the meeting, stating their intention to maintain an oppositional stance. In contrast, the leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, confirmed his participation.
Consequently, a meeting between the Assembly and Abdixhiku is slated for that day at 6:00 PM. Regarding the PDK’s decision not to attend the assembly meeting, the Democratic Party of Kosovo issued a statement confirming its non-participation. The Chairman of the PDK, Bedri Hamza, was cited in relation to this announcement.
