Tomorrow marks the final farewell to the 27-year-old who was stabbed in Prizren

The community of Prizren is mourning the loss of Albian Osmanaj, aged 27, who passed away following a stabbing incident in the village of Kobaj. The family has announced the details for the final rites, with the farewell service scheduled for Monday, June 15, 2026. The burial is set to take place at the Kobaj village cemetery following the Ikindis prayer.

The serious incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, around 11:50 AM. According to the Kosovo Police, the confrontation stemmed from a dispute involving heavy vehicles between two families who are related by kinship. Albian Osmanaj sustained injuries from a sharp object during the altercation, which proved fatal.

Police personnel were present and escorted the suspected individuals to the local station. Authorities confirmed that investigations, which are being conducted in coordination with the State Prosecutor’s office, are ongoing to fully establish the circumstances surrounding the event. The scheduled rites mark the last moments of public acknowledgment for the victim.
