Skopje – Interior Minister Panče Toshkovski addressed public concerns regarding a recent surge in false messages circulating among citizens, relating to the payment of fines. The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that it acted swiftly to inform the public about the deceptive communications. Speaking to North Macedonia News Telegrafi Macedonia In focus, Minister Toshkovski stated that the Ministry had fulfilled its responsibility by providing timely information to citizens.
He emphasized the importance of caution, urging individuals to carefully scrutinize the source of any messages requesting payment information. “False messages exist, and we have informed citizens in a timely manner and reacted in a timely manner,” Toshkovski explained. “Citizens should be cautious about where they receive messages and report when they receive such messages.”
The Minister also discussed the ongoing implementation of the Safe City system, highlighting plans to expand its rollout to other municipalities across North Macedonia.
