The Interior Minister, Pançe Toshkovski, led a government delegation to Gostivar today to address the contamination of the local water supply system. The delegation included the Minister of Environment, Life and Spatial Planning, Muamet Hoxha; the Minister of Health, Sasho Klekovski; the Director of the General and Common Service, Ivica Tomovski; and the Government Secretary, Marija Miteva. During the visit, officials coordinated institutional efforts and reviewed measures necessary to stabilize the situation within the Gostivar municipality.

According to reports, the primary focus of the meeting was developing a comprehensive strategy to overcome the public health risks posed by the contaminated water sources. Speaking at the site, the Interior Minister, Toshkovski, stated that the government acted swiftly following the recommendations provided by an Assessment Group. He confirmed that the government had issued a declaration of a state of emergency specifically for the Gostivar Municipality.

This declaration aims to activate all available state mechanisms and capacities to manage the crisis effectively. The high-level involvement underscores the seriousness of the contamination issue.
