Traffic accident in Skopje, two people injured

The Skopje Public Police (SPB) reported a significant traffic accident that occurred in Skopje on August 2, 2026, at approximately 3:40 PM. The collision took place at the intersection of “Goce Dellçev” Boulevard and “Philip II of Macedonia” Street. The incident involved two passenger vehicles.

One vehicle was an Opel, bearing Skopje license plates, which was operated by an individual identified as P.B., aged 62, of Skopje. The second vehicle was a Volkswagen Sharan, equipped with Swiss national license plates, driven by M.J., aged 41, also from Skopje. The resulting traffic accident resulted in injuries to two passengers within the Volkswagen Sharan.

Specifically, S.R., 38, from Skopje sustained serious bodily injuries, while D.R., 40, from Skopje sustained bodily injuries. Both injured parties were transported immediately to the Public Health Institute “St. Naum of Ohrid” for necessary medical treatment.

Following the collision, an investigative team from the Skopje Public Police was dispatched to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation into the details of the accident. Authorities are continuing their inquiry to determine the full circumstances surrounding the traffic incident.
