Twelve fires were registered across North Macedonia today

The Crisis Management Center (QMK) reported that since 6:00 PM today, a total of 12 instances of fires have been reported. Currently, only one fire remains active. This ongoing incident is located in the Municipality of Kočan, specifically near the village of Rajçani, adjacent to the “Holy Trinity” church, where low vegetation is burning.

The remaining eleven fires have been successfully extinguished by intervention teams. Intervention efforts addressed multiple locations across various municipalities. These extinguished fires occurred in Strumica near the village of Dobrejci, Kratovo near the village of Zheleznicë, Novo Selë near the village of Bajkovë, and Struga near the village of Dellogozhdë.

Additional sites included Veles, near the “St. Spas” church cemetery; Tetovë near the village of Falishë; Zhelinë near the village of Trebosh; Vrapçisht; Kumanovo near the village of Novo Selë; and Haraçina near the village of Grushinë. Furthermore, an incident was reported in the Municipality of Ilinden within the Ajvatovski Pat area.

The materials involved in these various fires included low vegetation, hay, stored depots, debris, and forest undergrowth. Officials confirmed that all reported fires have been located and addressed by emergency services. The coordinated response managed the spread of these numerous fires across different rural and semi-urban settings.
